On Episode 15 of the Montreal Marketeers Podcast, we sit down with Andrew Neumann, founder of Primo Barbershop & Café. His story brings together two creative passions that seem worlds apart: espresso and barbering. The result is one of Montreal’s most distinctive spaces, where every haircut comes with an exceptional cup of coffee and a warm exchange of stories.
Andrew first developed his love for coffee while working at Café Epoca, where he learned how small details create lasting experiences. Later, inspired by his mother’s successful salon, he began cutting hair for friends and continued to refine his craft until he joined Fade to Brooklyn as a full-time barber. Over time, he realized that both barista work and hair styling share the same core value: genuine service.
Today, Primo Barbershop & Café reflects that philosophy. It is a meeting place for craftsmanship and community, where creativity and hospitality go hand in hand. Whether it is a fade that perfectly complements a client’s style or an espresso brewed with care, every interaction reflects Andrew’s belief that great service tells a story.
